Koshihikari-brand rice is produced organically in Shitada Village, Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture. The fertilizer used in our rice production is 100% organic, approved by Niigata Prefecture. Moreover, owing to the 83% reduction of use of chemical pesticides and herbicides in our rice production, our product is certified as a specific cultivation agricultural product.

Wadachi Rice carries the mark of approval of the Niigata Prefectural Government as a specific designated agricultural product. It is one of the brands that has an A+ rating for flavor. On top of that, the unmilled rice is stored at a temperature below 15 degrees Celsius, 59 degrees Fahrenheit, and milled just before shipping. This guarantees extra excellence in flavor.

Made of washi (traditional Japanese paper). The particular type used for these labels is Oyachi washi, which is a traditional craft product of Shitada Village.
